Suntory's dedicated grain whisky distillery on the Chita Peninsula, founded in 1972 by Keizo Saji as a joint venture with the Japan Agricultural Cooperative; distills three grades of corn-based grain whisky that form the backbone of Suntory's Hibiki blends and are also bottled as The Chita single grain.
