Family-run distillery opened in 2014 by brothers Robert and Jonathan Likarish, with their mother Marcia -- 'the Mother of Texas Whiskey' -- managing operations; named for the Texas grape rootstock developed in Denison that saved the French wine industry from phylloxera, and known for heirloom corn varietals matured using French-inspired élevage techniques.
