Description
The 'Old Pepper' whiskey brand traces to 1780 during the American Revolution, three generations before Colonel James E. Pepper built his namesake Lexington distillery around 1880, once billed as the largest in the US; the site closed in 1967, was abandoned for decades, and was purchased and revived by Amir Peay in 2008, with distilling resuming on-site in December 2017.
