Description
Blended Scotch whisky house founded in 1846 by John Dewar in Perth as a wine and spirits merchant; his sons Alexander and Tommy built Aberfeldy Distillery in 1896-98 to supply single malt for the Dewar's blend and turned it into a global brand. Sold by Diageo to Bacardi in 1998, with headquarters now in Glasgow and a Scotch whisky portfolio including Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Craigellachie, and Royal Brackla.
