Description

An Irish whiskey brand, not a distillery itself; American businessman Mark Edwin Andrews bought the ruined 15th-century Knappogue Castle in 1966 and began collecting and bottling rare aged pot still whiskey under its name. His son brought the brand to market in 1998 through Great Spirits (later Castle Brands), and it continues to source whiskey from distilleries such as Cooley. Acquired by Pernod Ricard's Irish Distillers in 2021.
