Description

Founded in 1999 when Irish entrepreneur Pearse Lyons, founder of the animal-nutrition company Alltech, acquired the 200-year-old Lexington Brewing Company; began distilling on Scottish-made copper pot stills in 2008 and opened Town Branch Distillery in 2012, the first new distillery built in downtown Lexington in more than a century.
