The Macallan, licensed in 1824 and now owned by the Edrington Group, is a luxury Speyside single malt distillery renowned for sherry-cask-matured whisky with rich dried-fruit character; its Easter Elchies estate includes a state-of-the-art distillery building opened in 2018.
