The first federally licensed distillery in East Tennessee history, opened July 4, 2010 after a change in state law legalized craft distilling; built on family moonshine recipes from the Smoky Mountains' earliest settlers, it grew into the world's most-visited distillery, with additional locations in Pigeon Forge and Nashville.
