Description
Founded in 1999 by husband-and-wife team Bernard and Rosemary Walsh, initially producing The Hot Irishman coffee liqueur before creating The Irishman and Writers' Tears whiskey brands; built the Royal Oak distillery in Carlow (which began production in 2016 but was later spun off and rebranded as Royal Oak/Busker), while the Walsh whiskey brands continue to be produced at Midleton. Acquired by Amber Beverage Group in November 2021, with Bernard Walsh remaining as managing director.
