Description

Founded in 2004 by Christian Krogstad as House Spirits Distillery in Corvallis, Oregon, moving to Portland in 2005; pioneered the American single malt category by brewing an ale-style wash, double-distilling in pot stills, and aging in heavily toasted new American oak. Sold its Aviation Gin brand in 2016 to focus on Westward Whiskey; parent company House Spirits Distillery filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2025.
