Description
Founded in 2012 by Dr. Pat Heist and Shane Baker, former bandmates who spent over a decade running Ferm Solutions, a fermentation-consulting and yeast-supply business serving hundreds of distilleries; Danville's first legal distillery since Prohibition, using a proprietary sweet mash process rather than the industry-standard sour mash. Campari Group acquired a 70% majority stake in October 2022, with Baker and Heist retaining 30% and an option for Campari to buy the rest by 2031.
