Description
Founded in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam, a former longtime employee of Dutch liqueur maker De Kuyper, starting with a single copper still in a 300-square-meter building near the Belgian border; began experimenting with whisky as early as 1994-96 and launched Millstone, the first Dutch single malt, in 2007. Now run by second-generation brothers Patrick and Gilbert van Zuidam, growing much of the barley and rye used in Millstone whisky themselves.
