Description

Founded in 1887 by William Grant, who built Glenfiddich distillery with his nine children the same year; not a distillery itself, but a family-owned Scotch whisky company (still run by Grant's descendants) that also owns Balvenie, Kininvie, Ailsa Bay, and the Tullamore and Hendrick's brands, remaining the largest Scotch producer still in family hands.
