Description

Formed in its current legal structure in 2011 as Beam Inc. (renamed Beam Suntory after Suntory Holdings' 2014 acquisition, then Suntory Global Spirits in 2024); not a distillery itself, but the parent of Jim Beam (tracing to Jacob Beam's first barrel in 1795) and Maker's Mark, plus Japanese whisky brands Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Hibiki through parent Suntory Holdings, founded in Osaka in 1899.
