Ireland's largest whiskey distillery, originally founded in 1825 by the Murphy brothers on the site of an old woollen mill; when Jameson, Powers, and the Cork Distilleries Company merged into Irish Distillers in 1966, a new, larger distillery was built alongside the old one, opening in 1975. Now owned by Pernod Ricard, it produces Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, the Spot whiskeys, and Midleton Very Rare, while the original site operates as the Jameson Experience visitor center.

Revived in 2021 after a 56-year absence, completing the historic Mitchell & Son Spot range alongside Green, Yellow, and Red Spot; matured in bourbon, sherry, and Portuguese Madeira casks and bottled at cask strength.
