Founded in 1997 by Phil Prichard in a restored 1939 schoolhouse in Kelso, Tennessee, only the third legal distillery to open in the state since Prohibition; named for ancestor Benjamin Prichard, an early-1800s Davidson County distiller, and known for pot-distilled Tennessee whiskey that, under a legal grandfather clause, is exempt from the Lincoln County charcoal-mellowing process. Opened a second location at Nashville's Fontanel in 2014.

A pot-distilled whiskey made from high-sugar white corn at the first legal distillery built in Tennessee since Prohibition; under a grandfather clause it is the only Tennessee whiskey exempt from the Lincoln County charcoal-filtering process.
