Description
Founded in 2013 by engineer Pete Barger and his wife Vienna in Statesville, once known as the pre-Prohibition 'Liquor Capital of the World' before the town voted dry in 1903; grew into one of the largest craft distilleries in the country, distilling on a 40-foot column still nicknamed 'Sweet Mother' and offering extensive contract-distilling services alongside its own Southern Star bourbon and rye.
